Set Up An Online Business With 5 Simple Steps
From my experience, there are a lot of different ways to make money on the internet. It takes some knowledge of how to set up an online business, but after you do that, you can really do well. One method that has worked for me is what I call "one off products." What I mean by this is you take the knowledge in your head, hold a seminar or webinar, record that presentation, and then sell it over and over again. When promoting a one off product, you will want to follow these six easy steps. The first step is to choose a topic. It should be something you can talk about for sixty minutes, and I guarantee that everyone has some kind of expertise, whether it is model trains or developing PowerPoint slides or running a daycare that he or she can talk about for that long. Either way, you will want to talk about something simple because the goal is to put out some good useable content and make some cash at the same time. Your second step is to write an outline for your presentation. There is a simple way to do this. On a sheet of paper, write your subject in the middle. Then brainstorm some subtopics. Under each of your subtopics, try to come up with two good details. Shoot for eight to ten subtopics with two details for each one. If you are able to do this, you will have a sixty-minute presentation. Pretty easy, right?! Your third step is to connect with a free teleseminar service. You can find on to use for free and will allow you to host up to 250 people at one time. When I first started my online business, I could only host 100, so this is a great improvement. Remember to record your seminar an download it at the end. The fourth step is to invite people to your seminar. But maybe you are wondering who you should invite? Start with the people you know. Send out a notice to your website, blogs, and email lists. Leave no stone unturned. Get the word out about the amazing, informative seminar you will be hosting. Your next step is to sell seats to your seminar. My friend Jim Bob Howard showed me this great site called Event Bright. It is also free to use. How it works is your customers pay Event Bright, and then the site pays you. The clincher is you do not pay for their service until people pay you by buying seats. This frees you from a lot of administrative headache. The sixth step is to make a recording of your seminar. If you do this, you will be able to use your recording over and over again. For example, you can market the recording as an audio CD or have it transcribed for an ebook. You can even combine some of your "one off products" and make them into a home study course. The options are infinite. So what are you waiting for? Why not set up an online business today?
